Talking about Movies & Entertainment Question Answers
Q.1 What is your favourite tv channel? How often do you watch it?
[Answer Tips] :This is a simple question. You can answer it from your own experience. Let’s look at the sample answer]
Answer:
Well, I watch different TV channels sparingly but Netflix is a channel I watch more often. I like it because it is a very popular streaming service which allows its subscribers to watch tv shows and movies without advertisement through the Internet.
Besides shows and films , there are a lot of documentaries and Netflix original productions as well. The best thing about Netflix is that I can download a show if I need to and then watch it offline. Netflix also has easy navigation options and it is fun to search through its unlimited pool of movies and shows.
I watch Netflix at least a couple of days a week. Usually, I watch a series like “Adventures of Merlin” because it has short episodes. Sometimes, I also watch long movies or plays with my family.
Q2.How do you think action or horror movie are bad for children or adults? Explain.
[Answer Tips:This question demands some solid information in your response. You can find a lot of information on the internet about how horror movies are bad for kids or adults. Here is the sample answer. You can write down the important points provided in the sample answer.]
Answer:
Well, I think it is a known fact that kids who watch horror or scary movies develop anxiety, insecurity, sleep disorders and aggressive behaviours. Even adults are negatively influenced by the scary and horrific scenes in the movies. For example, there are unwanted thoughts and feelings triggered by watching unpleasant things happening in front of you.
One important thing about horror films is that they are very engaging because they have an element of excitement and thrill in them. That is one reason why it is hard to get rid of the feelings and thoughts they create even after you have finished the movie. Even physically, they make your blood pressure go up and give you chills when anything spooky happens. As a result, all you get is suffering, both physical and mental which is by no means healthy.
I would like to mention a research here according to which kids who experience fear and anxiety in their childhood, by watching horror stuff, are likely to take that insecurity and fear into their adulthood. For these reasons, I would strongly recommend that people should be encouraged to watch simple family dramas or comedy and even the movie companies should stop producing movies that promote negative consequences.
Q3.Do you think private Youtube channels have outplayed the traditional television or it is still valuable for some people?
[ Answer Tips: In this type of question, we need to make a comparison between the television and YouTube. Discuss the pros and cons of both and then conclude with your opinion in a couple of sentences. See the sample answer below.]
Answer:
There is no doubt that Youtube has exploded in popularity over the past few years. There are thousands of YouTube channels owned by content creators around the globe. Since YouTube has given this huge opportunity to create channels on its platform, many people have found great financial prospects in it. I would say that it has outplayed the traditional television to a great extent.
Television mainly telecasts recent shows and news while YouTube gives you extra freedom to watch whatever you want to whether from past or present. There are a lot of categories on YouTube from education, technology, infotainment, entertainment, games, crafts, and news. You name a topic and there should be a video on that on YouTube.
There is, though, one limitation to YouTube and that is the credibility of information or influencers. Not everything that is said or done on Youtube is reliable. Also, there is no way to filter information. That is one way, YouTube lags behind the traditional television since the news and information on the television hold more authority.
Keeping all this in view, I would say that television definitely has more authority and reliablility than YouTube. Though YouTube has a lot of valuable content, the importance of traditional television cannot be undermined.
