Answer
“Well, one speech I truly liked was aired on TED Talks YouTube Channel. It was by a female doctor who was relating some curious facts about diabetes and its relation to sugar consumption. The main focus of her speech was “sugar is not a treat”. I heard all her lecture since it was very engaging and informative. Half way down the lecture, she disclosed that she herself was diabetic for long, almost since her childhood and had to take insulin injections everyday.
At that point I felt scared and thought about all the people who take sugar mindlessly. Finally, she presented an action plan to regulate our dietary habits and proposed the amount of sugar we should take everyday. “
“The speech was quite impressive, I would say, since the doctor eloquently discussed the consequences of consuming sugar in the form or pies, cakes and sweet treats including coffee and ice creams. The most thoughtful thing was that the doctor was not only relating from her knowledge but from her own experience. It felt like she wanted to save others from the suffering she had been through and that’s why words were coming directly from her heart.”

Here are a couple of questions and their sample answers about “Working on a Team”. You can follow the examples of answers, note down main points and practice writing or speaking your own answers to the questions above.
Q1.Have you ever worked on a team?
Example Answer
“Yes, I’ve worked in teams both in school and at work. In college, I was in a group for a marketing project. We had to make a marketing plan for a hypothetical product. We each had different skills, so we split the work. For example, one person did market research, another did advertising ideas, and so on. Our teamwork helped us create a really good marketing plan that our professor liked.
At my old job as a content writer, I was part of a team. We had to write articles and blogs for clients. Teamwork was important to get the work done well and on time. We would talk together to come up with ideas, review each other’s writing, and give suggestions. This experience taught me how important it is to communicate and work together in a team.
Lastly I feel that working with different teams has improved my social skills and made me see how powerful it can be when people with different skills and ideas work together. Teamwork is a skill I’ve learned, and I believe it will be useful in my future jobs.”

Let’s now see the sample answer.
Example Answer
“To me, working on a team is a familiar concept as I have experience working on teams both in school and at my workplace. When discussing the advantages of working on a team, there are several notable benefits. Firstly, within a team, individuals possess diverse talents. When tasks are distributed according to each person’s abilities, it can lead to efficient and successful outcomes. Secondly, dividing the workload can often lead to quicker and more effective results.
For instance, during my time in school, our teacher assigned a science project with a one-week deadline. Our team divided the responsibilities, with one member handling the written work and the others focusing on practical aspects. This approach worked effectively. However, there are also potential disadvantages to working in a team.
The primary drawback arises when team members lack mutual understanding. In school, our teacher assigned group projects to teach us cooperation and foster mutual understanding. Unfortunately, this didn’t always go smoothly, as some students were lazy and struggled to complete their assigned tasks. Similarly, in a workplace, projects may not succeed if team members do not cooperate equally or lack efficiency.
Furthermore, there are individuals who prefer working alone. They find satisfaction in completing assignments independently and may have difficulty following a team leader’s instructions or collaborating effectively.
Regarding the last part of the question, I would say that I enjoy working on a team on certain occasions but not always. Sometimes, team members have a strong understanding and camaraderie, making it enjoyable to work together. On other occasions, when a project is not time-sensitive, I prefer working independently, as it allows me to complete tasks without external assistance.”
